Kevin De Bruyne resurgence impacts Napoli and Villarreal

Kevin De Bruyne has seen a resurgence in form at Napoli, following a difficult period marked by injuries and a lack of synergy with former manager Antonio Conte. Playing in a deeper midfield role under Max Allegri, the Belgian international recently recorded a goal and an assist in a victory over Genoa, followed by a brace in a 3-0 win against Frosinone.

This improved performance has reportedly unsettled Villarreal ahead of their upcoming Champions League encounter. Technical staff at Villarreal have been analyzing De Bruyne’s ability to drive offensive phases through quick, short passing and precise assists.

Napoli’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, previously addressed De Bruyne’s uncertain future, noting that while the player had underperformed relative to his potential, he remains a significant economic and image investment for the club.
