Kevin Feige outlines MCU roadmap to 2042 with X‑Men focus
Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige told Chinese outlet Watching Hollywood that the Marvel Cinematic Universe will not undergo a full reboot after the conclusion of Phase Six. He said the upcoming "Avengers: Secret Wars" (scheduled for 2027) will close storylines that began before the MCU’s inception and simultaneously launch a simplified, single‑universe era.
Feige also revealed that Marvel has mapped out film projects as far as 2042, centering the next era on the X‑Men and a broader "Mutant Saga." He mentioned plans for a major X‑Men push, a live‑action Miles Morales film, and that the studio will continue to adjust the schedule as needed, but the long‑term vision now extends over two more decades.
