Kevin Gates ordered to pay over $1 million to estranged wife

A judge has ordered rapper Kevin Gates to allocate a significant portion of his music catalog sale proceeds to his estranged wife, Dreka Gates. According to court documents, Dreka is to receive $929,341.50 for child and spousal support, along with an additional $150,000 payment, totaling approximately $1.08 million.

The court order mandates that all proceeds from the catalog sale be deposited into a Morgan Stanley account managed by Robert Bracy, the CFO of Bread Winner Alumni LLC, with certified public accountant William Duerksen as an authorized individual. Kevin Gates is set to receive $538,798 upfront, followed by monthly payments of $225,000 starting in October.

Additional funds from the sale will cover $125,000 in legal fees for Dreka’s attorneys, $100,000 for her accountant, and $103,000 for Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS).

The financial ruling follows a contentious divorce process. Dreka filed for divorce in July 2025, alleging that Gates had ceased financial support for her and their two children in 2021. Gates has publicly disputed the legality of their marriage and accused Dreka of theft during their relationship.
