Kevin Gómez wins Argentine super middleweight title

Kevin Gómez became the new Argentine super middleweight champion after defeating Santiago Fernández via a fifth-round knockout at the Argentine Boxing Federation (FAB) Stadium in Buenos Aires. The 22-year-old prospect, who holds a 10-0 record with 9 KOs, applied consistent pressure to overcome the 33-year-old Fernández.

Following the victory, Gómez returned to his home city of Balcarce, where he was met by a large crowd despite rainy weather. A traditional parade was held through the city streets using a fire department ambulance to transport the newly crowned champion.
