Kevin Hart seeks to block witness in legal battle with former assistant

Comedian Kevin Hart is seeking a court order to prevent Montia Sabbag from testifying in his ongoing legal battle with his former assistant, Miesha Shakes. Sabbag was the woman involved in a 2017 explicit video controversy involving Hart.

Hart is suing Shakes, who worked for him from 2017 to 2020, alleging she violated a confidentiality agreement by discussing his private life in an interview with blogger Tasha K. Shakes has countered that the agreement is unenforceable because Hart failed to meet other contractual obligations.

In recent court filings, Hart argues that Shakes included Sabbag on her witness list to cause public embarrassment and scandal rather than to provide relevant evidence. He maintains that only himself, Shakes, and Tasha K are relevant to the case and is seeking unspecified damages for harm to his reputation.
