Boca Juniors evaluates Kevin Lomónaco transfer amid roster restructuring

Boca Juniors is evaluating potential roster changes as the transfer window approaches its close. Independiente has formally offered defender Kevin Lomónaco to Boca, seeking a quick sale to prevent his market value from declining. While Lomónaco’s profile does not perfectly align with the tactical preferences of coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena, the technical staff remains open to the possibility.

Negotiations involve a valuation of approximately $7 million, though Boca has reportedly made a counteroffer of $3 million for half of the player's rights. The club's decision to pursue Lomónaco depends heavily on the future of defender Lautaro Di Lollo, who is currently being scouted by Benfica. If Di Lollo departs, the administration led by Juan Román Riquelme may accelerate discussions for Lomónaco to reinforce the defensive line.

Separately, 19-year-old Leonel Flores has emerged as a significant offensive talent for Boca. Having joined the club at age seven, Flores has quickly transitioned from the youth ranks to become a key attacking reference under Arruabarrena, noted for his speed and ability to maintain high intensity throughout matches.
