Kevin Nash discusses professional difficulties with Bob Backlund

Professional wrestler Kevin Nash revealed on his podcast, ‘Kliq This’, that he struggled to work with former WWE champion Bob Backlund despite having mutual respect for him as a person. Nash, who moved from WCW to WWE in 1993, noted that their professional relationship was difficult due to differences in their eras and wrestling styles.

Between 1993 and 1995, the two competed frequently at live events, including a notable Madison Square Garden house show where Nash won the world title from Backlund in seconds. However, they rarely appeared together on televised programming, with their primary shared appearances being the 1994 and 1996 Royal Rumble matches.

During the same podcast discussion, Nash expressed a desire to have competed against ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper during the latter’s prime.
