Kevin Nash discusses stopping WWE viewership and Steve Austin's popularity
WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash shared several reflections on his career and current interests during an episode of his podcast, Kliq This. Nash revealed that he stopped watching WWE programming approximately two months ago, following WrestleMania, which he described as having a “sour kind of twist” for him.
Nash noted that while he still follows specific performers like Raquel Rodriguez, he has been spending more time enjoying the summer weather at his home. He also commented on the increasing negativity within the wrestling podcasting community.
Additionally, Nash discussed the concept of being “over” in the wrestling industry. After watching a Billie Eilish documentary, he compared the emotional connection between a musical artist and their fanbase to the connection between professional wrestlers and their audience. He identified Steve Austin as the most “over” person he witnessed during his career, citing Austin’s relatability as an “everyman” during the late 1990s.
