Kevin Nash discusses WWE injury and modern wrestling trends
Former WWE Champion Kevin Nash has shared reflections on his career and the current state of professional wrestling. During an appearance on ‘Kliq This’, Nash revealed that a torn quadriceps injury prevented a planned storyline involving the full ‘Kliq’—which would have included himself, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H.
Nash noted that the injury occurred during his first night back in the ring after returning from a biceps injury, a move he admitted was premature. He expressed regret that the timing of the injury ended the opportunity to develop that specific creative angle while Michaels was also active in the company.
Additionally, Nash discussed his loss of interest in watching modern wrestling. He cited a specific match between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, where both performers appeared to ‘no-sell’ each other’s finishing moves after a referee went down, as a turning point. Nash criticized the industry's shift toward prioritizing ‘high spots’ over match psychology, comparing the inconsistent storytelling to a comic book that breaks its own established rules.
