Kevin Panter addresses Barcelona captaincy and Partizan return rumors

Kevin Panter, the former captain of Partizan Belgrade and current captain of FC Barcelona, addressed rumors regarding a potential return to Serbia in an interview with Mozzart Sport. Responding to comments from Mathias Lessort, who expressed a desire to return to Partizan if he leaves Panathinaikos, Panter remarked, “Mathias is crazy! I love him, I really love him,” while noting that he is not currently ready to discuss his own future in Belgrade.

Panter emphasized his respect for his current club, Barcelona, stating that he wishes to honor his position there. He also noted that he maintains strong relationships with former teammates and coach Željko Obradović. Regarding his new leadership role in Catalonia, Panter admitted the decision to name him captain was unexpected but described it as a great honor, noting that Barcelona and Partizan operate in entirely different ways.

Barcelona recently secured a place in the Supercup final following a victory over Valencia, as Panter continues to adjust to the new season.
