Kevin Parker of Tame Impala ceases autographs and post-show fan meetings

Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker has announced he will no longer provide autographs or participate in photo opportunities at hotels and airports. The decision follows a rise in aggressive “autograph hounds” who Parker claims have begun “using kids” as a tactic to obtain signatures, a practice he described as “all kinds of wrong.”

In addition to the change in autograph policy, Parker stated he will stop meeting fans in parking lots after shows for the time being. He cited security concerns, noting that crowds have become too large to manage safely and that his team advised the change due to the “obvious security risk.” Parker asked fans not to be offended if he declines requests, emphasizing that the decision is not a reflection of his feelings toward the fanbase.
