Kevin Sánchez aims for Deportivo first team after strong preseason

Kevin Sánchez Rey, a homegrown striker for Deportivo de La Coruña, has demonstrated strong form during the club’s preseason tour in Italy. The 21-year-old featured prominently in friendly matches against Fiorentina and Genoa, scoring a goal in the victory against the latter.

While Sánchez previously sought a loan move to the Segunda División to gain experience—following a successful stint with Cartagena—his agent, Toni Lozano, stated that a departure is currently not on the table. The player’s primary objective is to secure a place in Deportivo’s first-team squad to compete in the top flight.

Sánchez, who has been with the club since age 14 and is under contract until June 2028, is currently working to prove his readiness for professional football under coach Antonio Hidalgo.
