Kevin Viveros becomes Brasileirão top scorer

Colombian striker Kevin Viveros has become the top scorer of the Brasileirão after scoring two goals in Athletico Paranaense’s 2-0 victory over Santos at Vila Belmiro stadium.

Viveros scored his first goal in the 14th minute and added a second just 12 minutes later. These goals brought his season total to 14, allowing him to overtake Flamengo striker Pedro, who currently sits in second place with 12 goals.

In 21 matches played during this Brasileirão campaign, Viveros has recorded 14 goals. Since joining Athletico Paranaense, the Buenaventura-born attacker has accumulated 25 goals in 52 matches.
