Kewon White murder trial focuses on surveillance footage

The murder trial of rapper Mo3, whose real name was Melvin Noble, has focused on surveillance footage used to build a timeline against Kewon White. Prosecutors allege White was the gunman who chased and killed Noble on a Dallas interstate on November 11, 2020.

Evidence presented to the jury includes footage from November 10 and 11, 2020, showing a man wearing the same blue underwear visible above his pants on both days. On the day before the shooting, the individual was seen outside a residence carrying what appeared to be a firearm. On the day of the murder, the footage shows the man at the property again and later capturing people near a backyard fire. Prosecutors contend that clothing related to the crime was burned following the incident.

White is one of three men on trial for the killing. Markies Conway, also known as rapper Yella Beezy, is accused of ordering the shooting, while Devin Brown is alleged to have coordinated the act. While Conway has pleaded not guilty, he faces the death penalty or life without parole. White, who is already serving time for an unrelated gun charge, faces capital murder charges. The defense has argued that the prosecution is relying on assumptions, noting that no eyewitnesses have directly identified White as the shooter.
