Kewon White sentenced to life for murder of rapper MO3

Kewon White has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the 2020 capital murder of Dallas rapper MO3, whose real name was Melvin Noble. A Dallas jury returned the guilty verdict on September 4 following a trial that examined a fatal highway ambush and an alleged murder-for-hire plot.

Prosecutors argued that White was hired to carry out the killing as part of a long-running feud between Noble and rapper Yella Beezy, whose real name is Markies Conway. The shooting occurred on November 11, 2020, on Interstate 35E, where surveillance footage showed a gunman in a ski mask chasing Noble into oncoming traffic. Noble was struck 13 times during the incident.

While White has been sentenced, the case against Yella Beezy is ongoing. Beezy has pleaded not guilty to capital murder and denies involvement. Two other men, Devin Brown and Jerry Johnson, also face charges in connection with the case and have pleaded not guilty. The death penalty was not sought by prosecutors, making life without parole the only available sentence following the conviction.
