Key Design to host seminar on preventing employee turnover due to school refusal
NPO Key Design will host a free online seminar on September 9, 2026, aimed at business owners, HR professionals, and managers to address the issue of employees resigning due to children's school refusal.
Based on a 2026 national survey of 1,234 respondents, the organization found a significant gender disparity in resignation rates: 22.76% of mothers resigned due to a child's school refusal or refusal to attend school, compared to only 0.74% of fathers. The data indicates that many parents continue to work for several months after the issue begins, suggesting a critical window for corporate intervention.
The seminar will discuss practical, low-cost measures to prevent turnover, such as fostering environments where employees can discuss difficulties with supervisors and providing flexible working options like remote work or adjustable hours.
