Key-Sun Kids Lozenges Recalled in Australia Over Metal Contamination

Australia’s food safety regulator has issued an urgent nationwide recall of Key‑Sun Laboratories’ Kids Honey & Eucalyptus + Acerola lozenges (54 g) after metal fragments were discovered in the product. The recall covers batch 0072 with a use‑by date of June 2028, sold in pharmacies and chemists across all states and territories and online in New South Wales. The Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) warned that the metal could cause mouth cuts, digestive injury or choking, and advised consumers not to eat the lozenges and to return them for a full refund.

In coordination with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), Key‑Sun also recalled other lozenges produced at the same facility during 2025, including various cough, cold and travel‑sickness products with expiry dates from February 2028 to January 2029. Consumers are urged to seek medical advice if they suspect ingestion of metal fragments.
