Keychron launches C100 8K custom macro pad
Keychron has released the C100 8K Giant Custom Macro Pad, a specialized peripheral featuring 100 mechanical keys arranged in a 10-by-10 grid. Designed for gamers, streamers, and creative professionals, the device lacks default letter or number assignments, allowing users to fully customize every key for specific macros, shortcuts, or application controls via the open-source QMK firmware and the Keychron Launcher web app.
The macro pad features an 8,000 Hz polling rate, enabling input reporting intervals as short as 0.125 milliseconds. It comes equipped with pre-lubricated Apex Red linear switches and transparent ASA-profile PBT/PC keycaps. The PCB is hot-swappable, permitting users to replace or mix different mechanical switches without soldering.
Connectivity is limited to USB Type-C, as the device does not support Bluetooth or wireless connections. The unit is housed in a plastic chassis with north-facing RGB LEDs for per-key illumination and offers three adjustable tilt angles. The C100 8K is priced at $64.99.
