Keychron Orca echo project raises over 700 million yen

The joint development project for the ‘Keychron Orca echo’ split keyboard, a collaboration between Keychron and GIZMART, has concluded with a total of over 700 million yen in funding. The project, which ran for approximately three months, attracted 26,165 supporters, setting a new record for the highest funding amount in GIZMART history.

The Keychron Orca echo features a unique design with a trackball on the right unit and a horizontal wheel on the left unit, allowing users to perform typing, cursor movement, and scrolling without significantly moving their hands from the home position. The two units can be connected magnetically for portability.

Users have noted that while the unique input method—such as using a specific ‘fn1’ key combined with ‘J’ and ‘K’ for clicking—requires a brief adjustment period of a few days, it allows for efficient operation without leaving the home position.
