Keychron Orca echo split keyboard discount ends August 3
Keychron and Gizmodo Japan have jointly developed the split mechanical keyboard Orca echo, which combines a trackball, wheel, dual scroll pads, magnetic mounting, on‑device storage and a column‑staggered layout. The product’s crowdfunding campaign has raised more than ¥500 million, and a limited‑time “early‑bird” discount of 15 % is being offered until 12:00 PM on 3 August. The discounted set with a dedicated carry case is priced at ¥25,619 (originally higher), while the standalone keyboard is ¥24,255 after a 10 % cut.
Promotional videos released alongside the launch were followed by a detailed analysis from Japanese gadget YouTuber Arai, who questioned the trackball placement and sparked a lively discussion in the community. A subsequent meet‑up on 6 June allowed Gizmodo editors and Arai to address user concerns directly.
