Keyfactor secures more than $1 billion investment to expand encryption management platform
Encryption‑management company Keyfactor Inc. announced it has raised over $1 billion in new capital from investment firm Summit Partners. Existing institutional backers, which have already put more than $200 million into the firm, will keep significant equity stakes.
Keyfactor’s suite includes the AgileSec platform that automatically inventories and monitors enterprise encryption keys, the EJBCA solution that lets organizations act as certificate authorities, and the Command Center tool that automates digital‑certificate renewal. The funding will be used to hire additional staff, develop new features, broaden the company’s international footprint and pursue acquisitions.
Summit Partners Managing Director Andy Collins said the investment will help Keyfactor provide an end‑to‑end platform covering cryptographic discovery, issuance and ongoing management, aiming to protect enterprises from key‑related vulnerabilities.
