Keyless entry technology enhances vehicle convenience and security
Car keyless entry systems have evolved from their introduction in the 1980s to become a standard feature in modern vehicles. This technology allows drivers to unlock and start vehicles using key fobs or smartphone applications, removing the need for physical keys in doors or ignitions.
Beyond convenience, these systems were developed to address security concerns regarding traditional keys, which are susceptible to duplication. Modern keyless systems utilize encrypted codes to communicate with a vehicle’s onboard computer, making unauthorized access more difficult.
