Keylor Navas stays with Pumas as Esteban Solari takes over as coach

Club Universidad Nacional (Pumas) announced Argentine Esteban Solari as the new head coach for the upcoming season, succeeding Efraín Juárez after the team finished as Liga MX runners‑up. The club highlighted Solari’s previous experience in Malaysia, Chile, Argentina and Mexico.

Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas, whose contract runs through the Apertura 2026, confirmed he will remain with Pumas despite earlier speculation about a move to Europe. "Yo estoy tranquilo en Pumas, viviendo el presente. ... El único que sabe el futuro es Dios," Navas said, indicating he respects his current agreement with the club.
