Keysight launches 1.6T Ethernet test platforms for AI networks

Keysight Technologies has introduced two new 1.6T Ethernet test platforms, the Switch and Edge Router Tester (SERT) 1600GE and the AresONE Plus 1600GE. These tools are designed to validate next-generation hyperscale networking infrastructure and AI data centers.

The AresONE Plus 1600GE features eight 1.6T Ethernet ports in a single 2U appliance, capable of delivering 12.8T of line-rate traffic. It includes capabilities for AI workload emulation, such as mix-of-experts emulation, and supports 1600GE PAM4 signaling. The SERT 1600GE focuses on data center switch fabric and edge router validation, offering scalability through Precision Time Protocol (PTP) synchronization.

Both platforms support various protocols and control-plane validation, including Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Equal-Cost Multipath (ECMP), Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN), and SONiC.
