Keysight Technologies integrates AI into semiconductor design workflows
Keysight Technologies is advancing its Electronic Design Automation (EDA) capabilities by integrating artificial intelligence to address the increasing complexity of semiconductor design. During the Keysight Design Engineering Summit 2026 in Tokyo, the company highlighted its AI-powered assistants, Chat and Copilot, for its Advanced Design System (ADS) platform. These tools utilize large language models and machine learning to automate Python scripting, execute commands, and manage repetitive tasks, aiming to shift the role of engineers from manual developers to supervisors of autonomous AI design processes.
In a practical application of these technologies, AttoTude Inc. has utilized Keysight’s EDA software to manage its full integrated circuit (IC) design workflow. By employing the ADS platform, AttoTude reported reducing its design cycles by more than 50%, cutting development time to less than six weeks. This implementation has enabled the company to achieve first-pass silicon success for advanced RF, sub-THz, and THz tape-outs, which are critical for next-generation AI and hyperscale data center interconnect technologies.
