KFOR Chief of Staff visits North Mitrovica to assess security

KFOR Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Chad Daniels, visited North Mitrovica to observe the activities of the Multinational Specialized Unit (MSU). The visit aimed to assess the security situation on the ground and reinforce the mission's commitment to maintaining a visible presence in the region.

General Daniels emphasized that long-term stability is built through trust, respect, and direct contact with local populations. He stated that security begins with people and that listening to community needs is essential for understanding the environment.

KFOR continues to operate under the mandate of UN Security Council Resolution 1244, focusing on ensuring security and freedom of movement. The mission coordinates its efforts with the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law Mission (EULEX) to maintain an impartial security environment.
