New KFOR Commander Major General Roberto Vergori visited northern Kosovo one day after assuming his duties. Accompanied by Admiral George M. Wifcof, Commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples, Vergori inspected joint patrols conducted by KFOR and Kosovo Police.

During the visit, the officials toured the Gračanica Monastery and met with Miloš Petrović, the mayor of Zubin Potok, to discuss the local security situation. KFOR stated that the mission remains committed to professionalism and impartiality, continuing to assess the situation on the ground and cooperate with all communities.

Prior to the northern visit, Vergori held meetings in Pristina with central authorities, Serbian List officials, and representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church. KFOR leadership reaffirmed that their mandate remains unchanged. Metropolitan Teodosije of Raška and Prizren emphasized the importance of KFOR's presence for maintaining peace and stability, particularly in sensitive Serbian areas, expressing gratitude for the protection of the Visoki Dečani monastery.
