KFOR leadership rotation set for autumn

The leadership of the KFOR mission is set to undergo a rotation this autumn. Italian Major General Roberto Vergori is slated to succeed the current commander, Turkish Major General Ozkan Ulutas.

As part of the transition for the 31st rotation, Vergori has participated in a key leadership training program. Turkish Brigadier General Onur Cakiqi has also been designated as the future deputy commander. The formal handover process, which includes leadership training, will conclude with an official transfer of authority ceremony scheduled for the autumn.
