KfW funding reaches millions in Bayreuth and Weimar regions

The state-owned development bank KfW has released its funding figures for the first half of 2026, highlighting significant investments in various German regions.

In the Bayreuth and Forchheim regions, KfW provided approximately 69.7 million euros to support around 756 projects. This includes 41.9 million euros for private households and 27.3 million euros for companies. Funding focused on innovation, digitalization, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. Specifically, 61 million euros were allocated to the Bayreuth area for energy efficiency and renewables, while the Forchheim district received 39 million euros, with 26.1 million of that dedicated to energy efficiency and renewable energy.

In Weimar, KfW issued funding commitments totaling 11.3 million euros during the same period. These funds are designated for projects involving housing, education, energy efficiency, and climate protection.
