KG Inicis and Innocean post Q2 profit gains
South Korean payment specialist KG Inicis reported Q2 2023 revenue of 371.8 billion won, a 15.0% year‑on‑year increase, and operating profit of 28.6 billion won, up 15.1%. On a standalone basis the company posted 197.6 billion won in revenue (up 18.4%) and 11.8 billion won in operating profit (up 8.9%). Growth was driven by its core payment‑gateway business and an expanding rental segment, while new initiatives such as a Japan‑focused payment service were highlighted as future revenue sources.
Advertising and marketing firm Innocean announced Q2 revenue gross profit of 265.8 billion won, up 10.0% from a year earlier, and operating profit of 44.6 billion won, up 22.4%. Net profit rose 53.4% to 36.5 billion won. The company attributed the improvement to its customer‑experience (CX) business, which includes sports‑marketing, digital services and offline brand‑space design, with strong contributions from projects in the United States, Mexico, Canada and Europe. Innocean said it will continue to expand CX offerings and invest in AI‑driven data and IP‑based services.
