KGHM explores M&A opportunities in lithium, titanium, and Ukraine

KGHM is actively exploring mergers and acquisitions (M&A) with a focus on rational investment and legal stability. Vice President Piotr Krzyżewski confirmed the company is currently in a confidential process to acquire an asset under exclusivity, which may be announced at a future earnings conference.

Vice President Anna Sobieraj-Kozakiewicz stated that the group is considering various geographic directions, including South America, North America, and North Africa (specifically Morocco), provided the jurisdictions offer legal security. The company is also prioritizing the exploration of deposits in Ukraine and is monitoring markets for lithium and titanium.

Regarding copper, the company is approaching acquisition plans cautiously due to concerns that current market prices may lead to overvalued projects. Financially, KGHM reported significant growth for the first half of 2026, with revenues reaching 24.711 billion PLN, a 40.8% year-on-year increase, and adjusted EBITDA rising 89.1% to 9.198 billion PLN.
