KGHM Group reports rising revenues and expands copper exploration

KGHM Group reported strong financial results for the first half of 2026, with revenues reaching 24.7 billion PLN, a 41% increase compared to the same period last year. The group's consolidated EBITDA rose by 89% year-on-year to nearly 9.2 billion PLN, while net profit reached 5.58 billion PLN. These results were driven by high sales volumes, favorable copper and silver prices, and effective risk management policies.

Production remained stable, with copper production increasing by 2% to 351,000 tonnes and silver production rising by 8% to 712 tonnes. The company also noted a reduction in group debt by 0.7 billion PLN.

In line with its new strategy, KGHM is accelerating exploration efforts. The company plans to conduct approximately 10 drilling operations in Poland this year, a significant increase from four in the previous year. Key exploration areas in Poland include the Bytom Odrzański and Kulów–Luboszyce concessions. Internationally, the company is intensifying exploration at the Catabela Northeast project in Chile, near its Sierra Gorda operations, to better estimate resource sizes and quality.
