KGM Kugelfabrik secures location and jobs via new labor agreement

KGM Kugelfabrik, a traditional company based in Fulda, has reached a collective bargaining agreement with the Hessenmetall employer association and the IG Metall union. The agreement follows ten months of negotiations and aims to secure the company's location and employment for the next three years.

The deal includes an investment plan to modernize machinery and processes, alongside expanded co-determination rights for the works council. In exchange, employees will forgo a portion of variable performance bonuses and certain special payments. The agreement, which was approved by an overwhelming majority of union members, is effective retroactively to the beginning of last month.
