Khadam horror film set for Indonesian release on September 16

The horror film ‘Khadam’, marking the international debut of actress Aghniny Haque, is scheduled for release in Indonesian cinemas on September 16, 2026. A collaborative production between Malaysia and Indonesia, the film was produced by Red Communications and Komet Productions, with involvement from Indonesia’s MAGMA Entertainment and VMS Studios.

The story follows Melor, a non-verbal mother living a simple life with her two children. Their lives are disrupted when a supernatural entity, initially perceived as a protector, begins to threaten the family and attempts to usurp Melor’s identity and role within the household.

Prior to its Indonesian release, ‘Khadam’ was released in Malaysia on June 11, 2026, Cambodia on July 27, 2026, and Singapore on August 27, 2026. The film has already seen commercial success in Malaysia, recording ticket sales exceeding USD 1.3 million.
