Khagen Murmu predicts decline of Trinamool Congress in West Bengal

BJP MP Khagen Murmu has launched a sharp critique of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal, claiming the party is nearing its political end. Speaking in Malda, Murmu accused the TMC of fostering a culture of corruption and hooliganism, describing it as a systematic mechanism for looting the people of Bengal.

Regarding the legal disputes over the TMC's name and election symbol, Murmu stated that the Election Commission will make the final decision. Meanwhile, JDU spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan noted that Mamata Banerjee has approached the Supreme Court to challenge the Election Commission's rulings.

Murmu also addressed the arrest of Congress candidate Milan Pradhan in Nandigram, noting that the Election Commission would investigate the matter. He further highlighted that the state government has introduced legislation aimed at curbing criminal activities and hooliganism in the region.
