Khairat Association launches food waste awareness campaign in Riyadh
The Khairat Association for Food Preservation has launched a week-long awareness campaign titled ‘Turn Waste into Reward’ in Riyadh. The initiative utilizes advertising screens across the city's streets and squares, as well as several locations outside the region, to promote food conservation.
Conducted in collaboration with the Riyadh Municipality and Remat Riyadh for Development, and sponsored by Arabia Outdoor Advertising, the campaign aims to demonstrate how surplus food can be redirected from waste to benefit society. The association works through regulated and safe channels to deliver edible surplus food to those in need.
Abdullah Al-Subaie, CEO of the Khairat Association, stated that the campaign is part of an ongoing series of initiatives designed to instill a culture of food preservation and reduce food waste. He emphasized that the success of such efforts relies on integrated partnerships between the government, private sector, and non-profit organizations to reach various segments of society.
