Khairatabad Ganesh pandal attracts massive crowds in Hyderabad

Large crowds of devotees gathered at the Khairatabad Ganesh pandal in Hyderabad on Monday, September 14, despite heavy rainfall. The 69-foot-tall Panchamukha Sankatahara Maha Ganapathi idol remains a major attraction for the festival.

To manage the massive influx of visitors, the Ganesh Utsav Committee and local police implemented queue systems. Police and railway personnel were also deployed near the Khairatabad Metro station level crossing to regulate movement.

During the celebrations, members of the Padmashali Sangham presented a special tribute to the idol, including a 75-foot Kanduva, a Jandhyam, and a Garika mala made of durva grass. Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and his spouse also visited the pandal to attend the first pooja.
