Khalifa Fund backs Emirati startups, showcases enterprises at Al Ain Dates Festival
The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (KFED) partnered with Hub71 to host the inaugural MZN Hub71 Demo Day in Al Ain, where 17 Emirati founders presented ventures in AI, HealthTech, ClimateTech, FinTech and AgriTech. The top three startups received in‑kind support valued at AED100,000, AED60,000 and AED40,000 respectively: Limb, an AI‑powered physiotherapy platform; Reach LLM, an AI tool for brand visibility across large language models; and Hign Al Khaleej, a digital marketplace for buying and selling camels. Basma Ahmed AlBadi AlDhaheri, Head of Value Creation at Hub71, said the event demonstrates “what’s possible when founders are given the right environment to build.”
In parallel, KFED participated in the inaugural Al Ain Dates Festival (25‑31 July 2026) under the patronage of Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Fund’s pavilion displayed products and innovations from 11 Emirati SMEs spanning food and beverages, smart agriculture, artificial intelligence, honey, handicrafts, home goods and photography, providing a platform for these enterprises to engage with consumers and forge new partnerships.
