Khalifa University ranks in top 200 for four UN Sustainable Development Goals
Khalifa University of Science and Technology has achieved a top 200 global ranking across four United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026. The university's overall position improved, moving into the 301–400 global band from the 401–600 band in 2025.
The institution recorded particularly strong results in the 101–200 global band for SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Other notable improvements include rankings in the 201–300 band for SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
Significant progress was also noted in health and education sectors, with the university rising from the 1001+ band to the 401–600 band for SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and the 601–800 band for SDG 4 (Quality Education).
