Khalil al-Hayya engages mediators over Gaza humanitarian risks

Hamas political bureau chief Khalil al-Hayya has held intensive communications with mediators regarding the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip. The discussions focused on escalating Israeli military strikes and the increasing humanitarian risks facing the population.

Al-Hayya warned of worsening conditions as winter approaches, noting that the prevention of heavy machinery from entering Gaza hinders efforts to clear rubble and secure buildings at risk of collapse. He also highlighted the lack of essential supplies, such as caravans, tents, and winter protection gear, which leaves tens of thousands in unsafe living conditions.

Furthermore, al-Hayya stated that ongoing assassinations and violations in the West Bank and Al-Aqsa Mosque undermine stability and obstruct the commitments outlined in the Trump administration's plan. He called on mediators to pressure for the fulfillment of first-phase agreement requirements, specifically the cessation of targeting and the immediate, unrestricted entry of rescue equipment and humanitarian aid.
