Khamzat Chimaev defeats Robbie Lawler at RAF 14

Khamzat Chimaev secured a victory over Robbie Lawler via an 11-0 technical fall during the RAF 14 event at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The grappling-focused match concluded with 20 seconds remaining in the first period after Chimaev executed a series of takedowns and turns that left Lawler scoreless on the mat.

Following the win, Chimaev addressed his upcoming November 14 crossover championship match against Colby Covington, scheduled to take place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. Chimaev dismissed suggestions of a friendship with Covington, stating, “I’m not here to make a friend … I have my brothers with me.”

Chimaev, who represents the United Arab Emirates, moves to a 4-0 record within the RAF wrestling organization. His recent victories in the promotion include bouts against Dillon Danis, Tyron Woodley, Gilbert Burns, and Lawler.
