Khanh Hoa authorities discover martyr remains near Dien Khanh Citadel

The Khanh Hoa Provincial Military Command is conducting search and verification operations to locate the remains of martyrs in the Dien Khanh Citadel area. During excavation activities near the Dien Khanh Citadel prison on August 19, authorities discovered five locations containing bone fragments and various historical relics, including bullet casings and oil bottles.

Colonel Truong Thanh Viet, Political Commissar of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Military Command, has directed forces to conduct the search in a rigorous, scientific, and safe manner. The mission aims to identify the remains of revolutionary officers and soldiers believed to be buried in mass graves at the site. Authorities are currently expanding the search perimeter to include areas near the Rear Gate and adjacent residential properties to ensure all remains are recovered and returned to their families.
