Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway construction enters final stages

Construction is accelerating on the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway, a major infrastructure project in Vietnam with a total investment of nearly 22,000 billion VND. The project is divided into three component parts, with the XL1 package being led by a consortium headed by Deo Ca Group.

The XL1 package spans 11 km through the rugged terrain of the Truong Son mountain range, connecting Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces. A key feature of this section is the 1.7 km Phuong Hoang Tunnel, which is classified as a special-grade tunnel and is the longest of the four tunnels on the entire route. Both tunnel tubes have been excavated, and work is currently underway on the tunnel shell and road concrete.

To meet the adjusted schedule, Deo Ca Group has mobilized nearly 600 personnel working in three shifts and four teams. Despite challenges such as complex geology, high-flow groundwater, and difficult mountainous terrain, the contractor aims to complete the construction phase by the end of 2026, with the expressway expected to be operational in 2027.
