Khanh Hoa tourism projected to reach 23.7 million visitors in 2026

Khanh Hoa province expects to welcome over 23.7 million tourists in 2026, representing a 44.8% increase compared to the previous year. This projection exceeds the annual target by 9.1%. International visitors are a primary driver of this growth, with an estimated 9.4 million arrivals, a 69.6% increase.

In the first nine months of 2026, the province recorded approximately 20.4 million visitors and tourism revenue of nearly 68 trillion VND, up 21%. To sustain this momentum, authorities are developing an international market development plan for the 2026-2030 period. Key strategies include expanding international flight routes to Cam Ranh International Airport, with specific plans for a direct route from Moscow.

Upcoming initiatives to attract visitors include the Miss Cosmo 2026 competition, the International Cruise Tourism Forum, and various large-scale events such as a high-profile wedding of an Indian billionaire at Vinpearl Hon Tre. The province is also shifting its focus toward green and smart tourism, alongside diversifying products like community-based, cruise, and Halal tourism.
