Kharghar man detained after alleged molestation and hit-and-run

A man has been detained by Kharghar police following two separate incidents involving a red Mahindra Thar equipped with a duplicate registration plate. On September 30, the driver, identified as Ali, also known as Talib Ahsan Nakhva, allegedly molested a woman near the Pethpada Metro Station before fleeing the scene.

Approximately one hour later, the same vehicle was reportedly involved in a second incident in Belpada, Sector 3, where it struck and seriously injured a 22-year-old woman. The driver was accused of operating the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner. During police questioning, the suspect allegedly confessed to the initial molestation. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the vehicle's registration and the circumstances of the collision.
