Khenchela dispute ends in neighbor stabbing and suicide

A dispute between children in the town of El Hamma, Khenchela province, escalated into lethal violence on Monday evening. A 34‑year‑old man confronted a 30‑year‑old neighbor over the argument and stabbed him in the chest, killing the victim on the spot. After leaving the scene, the assailant returned to his home and fatally stabbed himself. Both bodies were transferred to the morgue of Ahmed Ben Bella hospital in Khenchela. Police and civil‑protection services have opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the double tragedy, which has shocked local residents.
