Khởi My transitions from pop stardom to gaming and streaming

Vietnamese singer Khởi My has transitioned from a prominent teen pop star to a streamer and gamer following her marriage to singer Kelvin Khánh in 2017. After achieving success as a singer, MC, and actress during the 2010s, she reduced her entertainment industry activities to focus on livestreaming games and interacting with fans.

Khởi My expressed that her departure from the mainstream spotlight was partly due to feeling less competitive in an evolving industry. In 2023, she made a notable return to the public eye through her appearance on ‘The Masked Singer Vietnam’ while preparing new music.
