Khánh Hòa prepares for Katê Festival and Bàu Trúc pottery event

The Katê Festival is scheduled to take place from October 9 to 11 in various communes and wards across Khánh Hòa province, including Phước Hữu, Phước Hậu, Ninh Phước, Thuận Nam, Ninh Hải, Bảo An, and Đô Vinh. The event celebrates the traditions of the Cham people following the Bàlamôn religion through sacred rituals, music, dance, and cultural activities.

Local authorities are finalizing preparations, including infrastructure improvements, lighting, environmental sanitation, and security measures to ensure safety for participants and tourists. Key ceremonies include the procession of traditional costumes from Phước Hà to the inner temple in Hữu Đức on October 9, and further processions to the Pô Inư Nưgar temple on October 10.

This year's celebrations feature a new integration with the first Bàu Trúc Cham Pottery Festival, held from October 10 to 12 in Ninh Phước. This combination aims to showcase Cham culture and traditional craft villages, providing visitors with a broader experience of local heritage and products.
