Khánh Hòa reinter 45 martyrs at Hòn Dung Cemetery

Authorities in Khánh Hòa Province have conducted a ceremony to welcome and reinter the remains of 45 martyrs at the Hòn Dung Martyrs Cemetery. The fallen soldiers died during the resistance wars against the French and Americans.

The remains were recovered from several locations: 39 from the Diên Khánh Prison area, 4 from the peak of Hòn Chảo, and 2 from the Đồng Bò revolutionary base. As of September 21, the province has successfully recovered 59 sets of remains.

Local officials, including Vice Chairman of the Khánh Hòa People's Committee Nguyễn Long Biên, expressed deep gratitude to the martyrs. Authorities are continuing to coordinate with military commands and local citizens to search for, collect, and identify further remains through DNA testing and witness testimonies.
