Khofifah Indar Parawansa provides aid to KM Virgo shipwreck victims' families

East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa visited the family of Imam Soeparno, a victim of the KM Virgo Transport 8 shipwreck in the Masalembu waters, to offer condolences and assistance.

During the visit in Surabaya, the Governor announced that the provincial government would facilitate education for the deceased's two grandsons through the Integrated People's School (Sekolah Rakyat Terintegrasi). Additionally, the family will receive economic support through Baznas East Java.

The National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) is currently conducting an investigation to determine the chronology and causes of the maritime accident. The East Java Provincial Government is continuing to collect data and provide assistance to residents of the province affected by the disaster.
